Some years have a special groove to them, like songs that make you turn up the volume, because you know something important is happening. That’s what 2025 was like in Sitges. As it celebrated the 20th anniversary of the Sitges Convention Bureau, the destination cemented the progress made in 2024 and bolstered a growing MICE model that is backed up by increasing visibility and experience, strengthening the destination’s projection within the meetings and events industry
The data come from two surveys of Sitges Convention Bureau members, one for each half of 2025, and were compared with the results of the 2024 survey to provide context for the sector’s growth.
Following extraordinary growth in 2024, 2025 confirmed the sector’s growth, with the MICE segment accounting for a larger percentage of turnover, attracting a more diversified clientele and achieving an increasingly strong international projection.
