The Torre del Veguer family winery reopens this March with all safety measures in place, after the mobility restrictions in Catalonia were finally eased on Monday. Its extensive range of wine tourism options is available to small groups. The tour has been adapted, focusing especially on showing the heritage of the vineyards planted beside the winery, overlooking the sea, which are preparing to awaken from their winter slumber.
They will continue to offer their select gastronomic pairing options. In addition, foie and chocolate tastings have been added to the now classic cheese, Iberian cured meats and Mediterranean tapa tastings. These tastings are available during the same time slots as restaurant services. Likewise, Torre del Veguer also offers its spaces for both corporate events and private celebrations. Its spacious 2,000 m² garden and a designer marquee invite you to organize all kinds of activities, thanks to its unsurpassable surroundings.
“Strolling about while surrounded by nature, among grapevines and forests at the foot of the Garraf Park and discovering hidden gems such as a stone wine press where the Hieronymite monks were already making wine back in the 15th century, or our family’s relationship with Salvador Dalí are just a few of the many attractions we offer visitors” according to the director of Torre del Veguer, Joaquim Gay de Montellà. He also adds that “we are very excited to resume our wine tourism tours as an alternative to more urban tourism.”
Torre del Veguer, which has recently become a set for major advertising and film shoots, is firmly committed to wine tourism. This venue is available for both corporate and family events, including banquets and gourmet food and wine experiences. A visit to the vineyards allows us to observe the vegetative phase of the vines according to the time of the year, as well as the winery and the unique ancient 15th century stone wine press used by the Hieronymite monks. There is also an exhibition of drawings dedicated to Salvador Dalí, a close friend of the family.
