[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Spring has brought Sitges a huge celebration for the MICE sector thanks to the recognition of Maria S\u00e1nchez Quintana, Promotion Executive at Sitges CB, who won the Best Destination Promotion<\/em>\u00a0in the MPI Iberian Awards.<\/strong>\u00a0This is an award for the work done over the past 20 years which has solidified Sitges as one of the leading MICE tourism destinations in Catalonia.<\/span><\/p>\n

Yes, Sitges is considered a leading destination in this sector. For example, five medical conventions were held by domestic and international associations in April alone<\/strong>: the IAO Annual meeting<\/em>\u00a0\u2013\u00a0Association for Orthodontics, the Kidney Cancer Association, the SECMA-XXVI Congreso Cirugia de la mano<\/em>, the\u00a0Annual Meeting of the\u00a0Asociaci\u00f3n de Cardiolog\u00eda Cl\u00ednic and the XXXI 24 Horas Neumol\u00f3gicas para la Atenci\u00f3n Primaria<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n

We want to thank the entire sector for its support and trust, and we celebrate <\/span><\/strong>the fact that Sitges is the destination chosen for corporate meetings, incentives, congresses, conventions, launches and events.\u00a0We keep going, <\/strong>we continue to provide advice and support and to be the contact point with professionals in the sector locally, and especially to reach out with our communication so that people all over the world are aware of Sitges.<\/span><\/p>\n

We are currently organising the Catalunya Business Meetings 2024, which will be held in Sitges from June 3rd<\/sup> to 5th<\/sup> with the Hotel Calipolis as its headquarters, and with the support of the Convention Bureau and our partners. Yes, in Sitges we never stop!<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][gt3_spacing height=”32px”][vc_text_separator title=”MPI Iberian Awards” i_icon_fontawesome=”fas fa-trophy” title_align=”separator_align_left” add_icon=”true”][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1\/4″][vc_single_image image=”27496″ img_size=”800×600″][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”3\/4″][vc_column_text]Maria S\u00e1nchez Quintana, Promotion Executive at Sitges CB, received the award for Best Destination Promotion. <\/strong><\/em><\/strong>According to MPI, this award recognises work promoting a location as a MICE tourism destination, with a strong strategy that involves a creative and differential approach, passion and engagement, and that has a positive impact on the destination.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Other participants in this edition are:\u00a0Eurostars Sitges<\/a>,\u00a0Sab\u00e0tic Sitges Hotel<\/a>,\u00a0ME Sitges Terramar<\/a>,\u00a0Finca Mas Solers<\/a>, Highfidelity Collective<\/a>\u00a0<\/a>and Grup Matas Arnalot<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

This is a workshop that will bring local professionals together with organisers of French events to foster new business opportunities. Over the course of the meetings, there will be personal B2B encounters to forge commercial ties, as well as a social and activity programme organised by the Sitges CB to learn about the destination first-hand.<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][vc_btn title=”Read more” style=”3d” shape=”round” link=”url:https%3A%2F%2Fwww.meetings-business.com%2Fevent-details%2Fcatalunya-business-meetings-3|target:_blank”][gt3_spacing height=”32px”][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_text_separator title=”62 professionals from the sector visit Sitges” i_icon_fontawesome=”fas fa-map-marked” title_align=”separator_align_left” add_icon=”true”][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1\/4″][vc_single_image image=”27486″ img_size=”800×650″][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”3\/4″][vc_column_text]In the month of May, Sitges has welcomed 62 professionals from the sector, both Spanish and international, invited by Grup Matas and Meli\u00e1 Hotels, with the collaboration of the Sitges CB.<\/span><\/p>\n

On May 2nd<\/sup>, organised by<\/strong> Grup Matas and the Sitges CB, 30 event organisers from Barcelona<\/strong> were able to visit the\u00a0restaurant Picnic <\/a>,\u00a0 the Hotel Subur Mar\u00edtim, the Masia Vilanoveta<\/a> and the Restaurant Sofia by P\u00edcnic, where they were also able to savour the group’s delicious food.<\/span><\/p>\n

Likewise, on May 12th<\/sup> we welcomed 32 travel agents specialising in the MICE tourism market from Asia, the USA and South America, invited by<\/strong> Meli\u00e1 Hotels<\/strong>, before they attended the IMEX fair.
