We want to share some curious facts with you that may surprise you and that will enrich your knowledge of the destination. Since 1880 and until today, Sitges has been positioning itself as a cosmopolitan tourist destination, specialized as a MICE destination since 1992, as well as a leisure destination.

You think you know everything about Sitges, but did you know that the first “congress” in Sitges was held in 1892, or what was the first hotel to open in 1916, or that in 1919 Catalonia’s first Garden City was built, including the first Racetrack in Spain? Did you know that the first Pachá night club in the world opened in Sitges? Want to know more?

Meliá Sitges. Sergi Uriol has just been appointed General Manager and takes over the position from Miguel Ferreres, who had previously headed management in his second stint since October 2018 and has now joined Meliá Hotels’ new operations center in Barcelona.

Lucas-Franco-Director-Me-Sitges-Terramar

The Hotel ME Sitges Terramar has announced its appointment of Lucas Franco as the new General Manager of the establishment, considered the destination’s most recent social and cultural epicenter. In his new position, he will continue to consolidate the ME by Meliá brand and this establishment as a benchmark hotel.

Dolce Sitges offers more than 2,175 m2 of meeting space, state-of-the-art audiovisual equipment and modern facilities and is ready to prepare your hybrid or in-person meetings. Take a look at the meeting packages they have put together.

MiM Sitges, environmental sustainability. The hotel managed the Majestic Hotel Group and owned by Leo Messi is an icon of sustainable architecture and environmental commitment in Sitges, and was the first hotel in Europe to receive the Leed Platinum certification.

Hotel Calipolis is temporarily closed until the end of March, but will continue to attend your meeting and event requests. If you don’t know the hotel or it’s been a while since you last visited it, check out this video.
