Also part of Sitges’ DNA is the annual encounter with fantastic and horror genre film fans, and from October 5th to 15th the 56th edition of the “Sitges – International Fantastic Film Festival of Catalonia” will be held and the Meliá Sitges will once again be the Festival’s headquarters. Come and join us; 369 films will be screened, initiatives geared towards film professionals will be promoted, offering talks, meetings, round table discussions and workshops with top-tier names as part of “Sitges Industry”, which continues to gain notoriety and international acknowledgement year after year. The feature film and series project pitching competition is also back again. “WomanInFan” continues to gain more and more relevance, and the Sitges Film Festival has incorporated initiatives to promote the participation of women in this industry into its activities. Sitges is bursting with so much energy that it even manages to bring the dead back to life in the increasingly multitudinous “Zombie Walk”. And, as always, there are parallel activities including exhibitions, events, red carpet appearances, etc.
